Peer violence is a complex phenomenon that can have long-term negative consequences for all involved. In primary schools, it is encountered daily in various forms. Teachers play a key role in recognizing, preventing, and addressing peer violence within the school environment, relying on the school's educational plan. The goal of Brinje Grosuplje Primary School is to ensure zero tolerance for peer violence. To achieve this goal, it is necessary to carry out preventive activities with students that contribute to raising awareness among students and reducing the incidence of peer violence. At the same time, this goal is heavily dependent on collaboration with parents. The purpose of this master's thesis is to investigate and understand teachers' responses to peer violence and their role in ensuring a safe and encouraging learning environment for all students. In the theoretical part, I will review existing theories and research on peer violence, the role of teachers in addressing it, cooperation of teachers with parents, and the educational plan of Brinje Grosuplje Primary School. In the empirical part, I will analyze the responses provided by teachers of Brinje Grosuplje Primary School and the parents of students at Brinje Grosuplje Primary School in an online survey. The ultimate goal is to contribute to the development of effective strategies for addressing peer violence and to ensure that teachers at Brinje Grosuplje Primary School receive the appropriate support and knowledge to function effectively in a school environment that promotes safety, tolerance, and mutual respect among students.
