Abstract

Title:In memory of time: the modularity of form
Abstract:
The thesis is a study of the logic of rhythm in relation to the concept of entropy based on art and music theory. On a formal level, through my artistic practice, I explore and deconstruct the logic of rhythm through the modular construction of spatial composition. Focused on an effective counterpoint between the elements of the whole in relation to space, I build a rhythmic moment that is reflected through matter on an abstract conceptual level. In this study I refer to the concept of entropy, which becomes a decisive factor in defining rhythm. It is a heterogeneous study of the object of rhythm and its conception, drawing on the complementary connection of art and music theory as fundamental tools in the treatment, analysis and formal actualization of the thesis.
