Abstract
Diplomska naloga z naslovom Industrijsko aplikativna oksidacija glicerola je pregled vseh obstoječih raziskav oksidacije glicerola. V diplomski nalogi so predstavljeni podatki o proizvodnji glicerola, kot stranskega produkta pri proizvodnji biodizla in podobnih produktov ter njihovo uporabo kot začetne surovine za sintezo kemikalij z višjo dodano vrednostjo (krožno gospodarstvo). Prav tako so predstavljeni trenutni “state-of-the-art” postopki za predelavo glicerola, kot so na primer biotehnološki in heterogeno katalitski procesi. Na koncu so predstavljeni obstoječi industrijski procesi oziroma procesi, ki imajo velik potencial za kasnejši razvoj na industrijsko raven.

Title:Industrial application of glycerol oxidation
Abstract:
The aim of this diploma work titled Industrial application of glycerol oxidation is to provide an overview of all existing research on glycerol oxidation. The overview includes information on the production of glycerol as a by-product in the production of biodiesel and similar products as well as on its use as a raw material for the synthesis of chemicals with higher chemical addition (circular economy). In addition, current state-of-the-art processes for processing glycerol, such as biotechnological and heterogeneous catalytic processes, are presented. Finally, existing industrial processes or processes with considerable potential for future industrial development are described.
