Abstract

Title:Influence od share of adhesive in particle boards on tool wear : graduation thesis - university studies
Abstract:
We followed the time dependant wear of the blades during the operation of milling of particleboards, which have been previously prepared with a various share of adhesive. The cutting process was performed on a milling machine. We have used a flat milling head in which the blades were clamped. At predetermined specified length we took the blade out of the milling head and determine the degree of tool wear. From the measurement, we determined that the fastest wear of the blades was at the beginning of cutting procedure. Wear and tear during the given length increases, but not as hard as at the beginning. We determined the tool wear is dependant of the adhesive share in surface layer, while no correlation was found when adhesive share was altered in core layer.
