Abstract
V nalogi sem si zadal cilj izobraziti širšo javnost o virusih. S tem namenom sem sodeloval z virologinjo in na podlagi poznavanja ilustracije ter oblikovanja izdelal uporabniško izkušnjo in prototip izobraževalne spletne strani. Izdelal sem prostorske modele virionov, pri čemer sem si pomagal s podatkovno bazo Protein Data Bank in programsko opremo ChimeraX, ki na podlagi eksperimentalne ali primerjalne metode z uporabo umetne inteligence AlphaFold izdela prostorske ureditve sestavnih delov virionov. Nadalje sem izdelal še sekvenčne ilustracije njihovih življenjskih ciklov in informacijske ilustracije njihovih sestavnih delov. Za boljše razumevanje naloge sem naredil primerjalno analizo del in nalogo umestil v polje ilustracije. V nalogi se sprašujem o učni vlogi ilustracije, o uporabniški izkušnji in ugotavljam, kako je najbolje predstaviti informacije, da te dosežejo svoj cilj. V ta namen sem pregledal raziskave s področja psihologije in pedagogike.

Title:Illustrations of the Four Most Common Forms of Viruses.
Abstract:
In my project, I set myself the goal of educating the general public about viruses. I collaborated with a virologist and, based on my knowledge of illustration and design, developed the concept and prototype of an educational website. I created 3D models of virions, utilizing the Protein Data Base database and the ChimeraX software, which, using experimental or comparative methods and the AlphaFold artificial intelligence, generates spatial arrangements of the proteins that virions are composed of. Additionally, I created sequential illustrations of the life cycles of viruses and informational illustrations of the components of virions. To better understand the task, I conducted a comparative analysis of works and situated the task within the field of illustration. In the project, I inquire about the instructional role of illustration, user experience, and identify ways to best present information to achieve its goal. For this purpose, I reviewed research in the fields of psychology and pedagogy.
