Abstract
Osrednja ideja diplomske naloge je raziskovanje vpeljave igre v proces grafičnega oblikovanja. Na vprašanje odgovarjamo s teoretično raziskavo, ki služi kot podlaga za praktični del. Zanima nas, kateri so kriteriji za igro in kako jo opredeliti. Proces raziskovanja začnemo z analizo temeljnih filozofskih del, ki skušajo opredeliti igro in njen pomen. Na podlagi teoretičnih del določimo osnovne kriterije, ki omogočajo igro. Analiziramo tudi praktična dela s področja grafičnega oblikovanja, kjer je igra uporabljena kot oblikovalsko orodje. V praktičnem delu naloge uporabimo kriterije za igro, ki smo jih opredelili v prvem delu. Z igro načrtujemo tipografske aparate. Tipografski aparati so eksperimentalni objekti s premičnimi deli, ki služijo kot šablona za oblikovanje tipografskih znakov. Vsakemu znaku določimo glasnik in za vsak aparat sestavimo svojo črkovno vrsto. Pri oblikovanju znakov in črkovnih vrst se ukvarjamo z vprašanjem čitljivosti v abecedi, ki ni osnovana na obstoječih pisavah.

Title:Play in graphic design through the making of typographic apparatuses
Abstract:
The central idea of the thesis is to explore the introduction of play into the graphic design process. The question is answered through theoretical research, which serves as a basis for the practical part. We are interested in what the criteria for play are and how to define it. We start the research process by analysing the fundamental philosophical works that try to define play and its meaning. On the basis of the theoretical works, we define the basic criteria that make play possible. We also analyse practical works in the field of graphic design where play is used as a design tool. In the practical part of the assignment, we apply the criteria for play that we defined in the first part. We use play to design typographic apparatuses. Typographic apparatuses are experimental objects with movable parts that serve as a template for the design of typographic characters. We assign a vocative to each character, and for each apparatus we design its own typeface. In designing characters and typefaces, we are concerned with the question of legibility in an alphabet that is not based on existing scripts.
