Abstract
Orodje za visokotlačno litje aluminija je izpostavljeno cikličnim temperaturnim in mehanskim obremenitvam, pri čemer so posamezni segmenti gravurnega dela orodja izpostavljeni velikim obremenitvam. Z namenom lažjega vzdrževanja orodja, so posamezni deli orodja konstruirani kot privijačeni segmenti. V programskem okolju Abaqus smo izvedli termo-mehansko analizo take konstrukcije.

Title:Thermo-mechanical analysis of screw joints in tool segments for high-pressure aluminum die casting
Abstract:
Die casting tool for casting aluminum alloys endures cyclic thermal and mechanical loads. Particular parts of the tool are subjected to high loads. With the goal of simplifying the maintenance process, parts of the tool are constructed as separate bolted segments. In this M. Sc. thesis, we made a thermo-mechanical analysis in Abaqus software environment. Contacts between tool parts and cyclic load, which appear during high pressure aluminum casting, were taken into account. First, we analysed a reference construction which experienced bolt failure and confirmed cyclic loading as a responsible mechanism. Based on the analysis of thermo-mechanical state in die casting tool, modification of bolt joint was proposed. The new construction results in more favourable stress state.
