Abstract
V magistrski nalogi obravnavamo razmerje med stvarnostjo in fikcijo v romanih o mehiški revoluciji ter analiziramo izbrane romane o mehiški revoluciji. Osrednji del obravnave je analiza mehiške zgodovine, ki se nanaša na mehiško revolucijo med 1910 in 1920, prvo socialno revolucijo 20. stoletja. Magistrsko delo se deli na dva večja sklopa; prvi sklop predstavlja zgodovino mehiške revolucije in vključuje kratek pregled mehiške zgodovine do revolucije, revolucionarno obdobje med 1910 in 1920 ter postrevolucionarno obdobje. Drugi sklop vključuje teoretični uvod v razmerje med fikcijo in stvarnostjo, analizo izbranih del mehiških avtorjev: Mariana Azuele Los de abajo, Martína Luisa Guzmána El Águila y la serpiente in Nellie Campobello Cartucho: Relatos de la lucha en el Norte de México ter primerjavo med stvarnostjo in fikcijo v teh treh romanih.

Title:The Mexican revolution between reality and fiction
Abstract:
The thesis examines the relationship between reality and fiction in novels about the Mexican Revolution and analyses selected novels about the Mexican Revolution. The central part of the study is the analysis of Mexican history, which refers to the Mexican Revolution between 1910 and 1920, the first social revolution of the 20th century. The master's thesis is divided into two major sections; the first section presents the history of the Mexican Revolution and includes a brief overview of Mexican history before the Revolution, the revolutionary period between 1910 and 1920, and the post-revolutionary period. The second section includes a theoretical introduction to the relationship between fiction and reality, an analysis of selected works by Mexican authors: Mariano Azuela Los de abajo, Martín Luis Guzmán El Águila y la serpiente and Nellie Campobello Cartucho: Relatos de la lucha en el Norte de México, and a comparison between reality and fiction in these three novels.
