Abstract
Diplomsko delo Otroci v prvem razredu izkustveno spoznajo koliščarje in njihovo kulturo obravnava pristope, kako otrokom v šoli učinkovito predstaviti zgodovino, s katero pridobivajo vpogled v družbo. Otroci z izkustvenim učenjem spoznavajo koliščarje in njihovo kulturo. Učenje zgodovinskih dejstev na ta način postane fizična in intelektualna interakcija na podlagi preizkušanja in raziskovanja. Hkrati pa uporaba vseh čutnih izkušenj omogoča vključevanje otrok s fizičnimi in senzornimi okvarami. Z izkustvenim učenjem želimo doseči, da otroci pridobijo čim več novega znanja ter spretnosti, iz katerih se bodo razvila stališča in vrednote. Z igro vlog pa stara dejstva dobijo nov pomen, ki vodi v pridobivanje novih spoznanj, s katerimi si otroci gradijo osebno identiteto. Hkrati spoznavajo, da so koliščarji z Ljubljanskega barja na Unescovem seznamu svetovne kulturne dediščine. Otrok tako spozna pomembnost odkritij, pomen kulturne dediščine ter se zaveda svoje kulture, ki pa je pomemben gradnik pri razvoju otrokove identitete in pozitivne samopodobe. V teoretičnem delu so opredeljeni temeljni pojmi družbe, lokalnega okolja in izkustvenega učenja, predstavljeno je tudi Ljubljansko barje, njegova lega ter geološki opis. Podrobno je predstavljeno življenje koliščarjev, njihova družbena ureditev in prehrana, ob slednji poljedelstvo, živinoreja, nabiralništvo in ribolov, sledijo še razvoj obrti in pomembne najdbe (leseno kolo, drevak, lok). V empiričnem delu so predstavljene štiri dejavnosti, ki sem jih izvajala v prvem razredu OŠ dr. Vita Kraigherja, s 6⠒7 let starimi učenci. Z dejavnostmi so otroci pridobili določena znanja o koliščarjih in njihovi kulturi. Za vsako dejavnost je na koncu zapisana še evalvacija.

Title:Experiential learning about the crannog dwellers and their culture for children in grade 1
Abstract:
The thesis Experiential learning about the Crannog dwellers and their culture for children in grade 1 deals with different approaches, how to efficiently present the history to children at school, and gain an insight to society. Children through experiential learning acquire information about Crannog dwellers and their culture. At the same time children learn the Crannog dwellers from the Ljubljana Marsh are on the List of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. This way the child becomes familiar with the importance of findings, cultural heritage and awareness of his/her own culture, which is an important step in the development of the child’s identity and positive self-image. In the theoretical part the fundamental concepts of the society, local environment, and experiential learning are defined, but also the Ljubljana Marsh is presented and its location and geological description. The life of Crannog dwellers, their social system and diet are described in detail and by that also their agriculture, livestock farming, foraging, fishing and also the development of craftwork and important findings (a wooden wheel, a dugout canoe, a bow). In the empirical part there are four activities being presented, which were carried out between the children, aged six to seven years, in the first grade of dr. Vito Kraigher Primary school. Children participated in different activities and gained certain knowledge about the Crannog dwellers and their culture. Each activity has its own evaluation at the end.
