Abstract
Moja diplomska naloga je zgodovinski pregled vključevanja beguncev in priseljencev v slovensko družbo in vzgojno-izobraževalni sistem. Zanima me, kakšen je bil odziv Slovencev ter novonastale države Slovenije ob prihodu beguncev iz nekdanje skupne države ter kako se je spremenil uradni odnos države do priseljencev in priseljevanja ob vstopu v Evropsko unijo. Opišem in primerjam, kako je potekalo šolanje v begunskih osnovnih šolah, kako sta se takrat odzvali država in civilna družba ter kako se je odzvala država danes, ko smo sprejeli begunce iz Ukrajine. Diplomska naloga je zastavljena teoretično in posredno tudi empirično, saj se opira na vire, ki poročajo o dejanskem dogajanju. S pomočjo analitične metode sem uporabila že napisano literaturo o tej tematiki, pri čemer sem se oprla na vire in literaturo, ki so te dogodke obravnavali v aktualnem času, brez večje časovne distance.

Title:Integration of Immigrants into the Education System of the Republic of Slovenia - a Cross-Section Through the History of Independent Slovenia, from Bosnian to Ukrainian Refugees
Abstract:
My thesis is a historical review of the integration of refugees and immigrants into Slovenian society and the educational system. I am interested in the reaction of the Slovenes and the newly formed state of Slovenia to the arrival of refugees from the former common state and how the official attitude of the state towards immigrants and immigration changed upon joining the European Union. I describe and compare how education was conducted in refugee primary schools and how the state and civil society reacted then and how the state reacted today when we accepted refugees from Ukraine. The diploma thesis is set theoretically and indirectly also empirically, as it is based on sources that report an actual event. With the help of the analytical method, I used already written literature on the existing topic. I relied on sources and literature that dealt with current events, without a great distance in time.
