Abstract
Proučevali smo izbrane lastnosti 2 površinskih sistemov v 2 barvah, ki ustvarjajo videz visokega sijaja. Največji poudarek je bil na vplivu umetnega pospešenega staranja na barvo in sijaj ter mehanske lastnosti poliuretanskega premaznega sistema in akrilne folije pred staranjem in po njem. Poleg tega nas je zanimala primerjava lastnosti teh 2 površinskih sistemov, ker se pogosto uporabljata v praksi. Izmerjene spremembe barve in sijaja so bile po izpostavitvi umetnemu pospešenemu staranju zelo majhne. To smo potrdili še z raziskavami z metodo FT-IR spektroskopije. Spremembe lastnosti površinskega sistema so bile majhne tudi po primerjavi rezultatov mehanskih testov staranih in nestaranih vzorcev. Opazna razlika je bila samo pri preskušanju odpornosti proti udarcem. Ugotovili smo tudi, da vrsta pigmenta vpliva na odboj UV svetlobe in absorpcijo toplote. Končni rezultati kažejo na to, da so lakirane površine bolj odporne in s tem primernejše za uporabo, vendar pa so razlike majhne in zato lahko trdimo, da sta oba testirana površinska sistema primerna za uporabo v pohištveni industriji

Title:Impact of aging on polyurethane coating systems and synthetic polymeric sheets in interior : M. Sc. thesis
Abstract:
The test subjects were researched regarding selected properties of 2 surface systems in 2 different colours creating high gloss appearance. The main focus was put on testing the influence of the accelerated ageing process on the colour and gloss. We also focused on the mechanical properties of the polyurethane coating system, and the acrylic sheet before and after the accelerated ageing process. We were interested in comparing the properties of the 2 surface systems often used in practice. After the exposure to an accelerated ageing process the measured changes were very small. This fact was further confirmed in researching with the Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy method. The changes in properties of the surface systems were also minimal after comparing the mechanical test results of the aged and non-aged specimens. One noticeable change was only observed in testing resistance against impact. We also found out that the type of pigment affects the reflection of UV light and absorption of heat. The final results show that varnished surfaces are more resistant, and as such better suitable for use. Nonetheless, considering the fact the differences are so minimal, we can confirm that both tested surface systems are suitable to be used in furniture industry
