Every design process requires certain guidelines and rules in order to achieve high-quality technical and technological documentation. These guidelines, which are given verbally or better still recorded in writing, help to work faster and avoid errors. As content can change over time, it is important that these changes are properly recorded.
The thesis should establish guidelines for the design of rubber injection moulds. The guidelines should be the basis for all future mould designs and all designers should follow them. Various methods of manufacturing rubber products are identified, guidelines for creating a three-dimensional model of the desired rubber products are established, and recommendations for modelling structural parts are presented. The installation components of the mould are demonstrated, including the pneumatic and hydraulic components. The main part of thesis is to provide guidelines for the production of the mould design and advice on the correct execution of the mould. Rubber injection moulds are discussed as far as possible and alternative mould types are also presented. The content of the thesis will include the experiences of the designers as well as our own findings and suggestions.
