Abstract
V diplomskem delu smo raziskovali proces koncertne fotografije, znotraj katerega smo definirali vsa temeljna načela zgoraj omenjene stroke.

Title:The proces of creating concert photo
Abstract:
This thesis researches the process of concert photography, within which all the fundamental principles of the above-mentioned profession are defined. The content and technical features of the preparation for photographing a concert are described, from communication with the client and the band, how to prepare for the actual photographing at the concert, sound check and backstage, to the final processing of the photographs and handing them over to the client. The focus is on the equipment, the settings on the camera according to the scene and the lighting of the concert space, and on other limitations that the photographer encounters at the concert itself. At the end, there is also a look at the processes of editing and post-production of photos and the importance of publishing the work itself. The emphasis is also on the fact that the musicians present their concert photos to the public and want to convince them to start listening to them, buy their products (CDs, t-shirts, stickers, etc.) and come to the concerts. So, it is very important that the photographer captures the energy of the band. A short list of photos that the photographer should have taken at the concert is also described. The photos were taken at various concerts in Ljubljana. Next to each photo is information about the capture and about the event, as well as a short analysis. A variety of photos taken between the end of November 2023 and April 2024 are selected. Photographs of two concert photographers, one Slovenian and one foreign, are also analysed. Slovenian is Marko Alpner, foreign is Todd Owyoung.
