Abstract
Raziskava je potekala v gospodarskih jelovo-bukovih gozdovih v GGO Novo mesto in GGO Kočevje. V raziskavo je bilo vključenih osem vrzeli. Namen je bil proučiti pomlajevanje in osnovne ekološke dejavnike po vrzelih in jih primerjati s predhodnim stanjem. Pet vrzeli je bilo oblikovanih z redno sečnjo(nove vrzeli), ostale tri pa so bile izbrane in so nastale s svetlitvenim redčenjem (stare vrzeli). Vrzeli so razdeljene z mrežo 5 x 5 m, pri čemer vogali predstavljajo raziskovalne ploskve velikosti 2,25 m2. Na ploskvah smo ocenjevali zastrtost tal, pomlajevanje, objedenost mladja, rast največ petih dominantnih drevesc na ploskvici in svetlobne razmere. Jakost sevanja je bila v starih vrzelih več kot trikrat manjša. V letih 2005 / 06 so bile nove vrzeli že več kot 50% zastrte z vegetacijo. Gostota klic se je v starih vrzelih zmanjšala, v novih pa povečala. V mladju se je precej povečal delež jelke. Dolžina, premer in prirastek drevesc so višji v starih vrzelih. Poškodovanost ter oblika rastlin in poganjkov se je v letih 2005 / 06 izboljšala. Jelka in javor ne preraščata v višje razrede mladja. Višje mladje se pojavlja proti severnemu delu vrzeli, pri čemer je zasnova mladja boljša v starih vrzelih.

Abstract:
The Research took place in managed silver fir-beech forests in GGO Novo mesto and GGO Kočevje. Eight gaps were included in the research. The purpose was to investigate the regeneration and basic ecological factors for each gap and compare them with the first inventory. Five gaps were made with regular cutting (new gaps) and the remaining three were being made by irregular shelterwood based on tending and were selected (old gaps). In each gap a 5x5 mgrid was installed. Corners represented the locations of plots 2,25 square meters in size. On each plot in eight gaps the following parameters were assessed: ground coverage, woody regeneration, browsing impact, growth of 5 dominant beech seedlings and light conditions. Light conditions were more thanthree times smaller in old gaps. In the period 2005 / 06, the share of coverage by ground vegetation was more than 50 % in new gaps. The density of one year old seedlings was smaller in old and higher in new gaps in 2005 / 06.The regeneration of silver fir increased by 2005 / 06. Length, diameter andheight increment were higher in old gaps. Browsing impact and growth morphology of beech were improved in year 2005 / 06. The total lack of silver fir and sycamore appears in higher height classes. Higher beech samplings are found in the northern part of gaps, whereas the overall quality of the regeneration was better in old gaps.
