The man-made lake Žovneško jezero was originally intended for irrigation of the surrounding farmlands, but today, the lake and the surrounding forests have become a popular tourist spot. Because activities such as swimming, boating and sailing are not allowed, suitable solutions in accordance with regulations have to be found for both nature and man. Enclosed with this thesis is a map of forest functions, an ortophotograph of the discussed region, a map of a proposed golf course, and a map on which natural monuments, natural assets and ecologically significant sites are marked. The thesis also includes a short history of the town Braslovče and the castle Žovneški grad. Functions of forests are described in the discussed region and the conflicts that (can) arise due to conflicting uses of forests. In the second part of the thesis I described a part of the guidlines proposed by Andrej Strniša (Slovenian Forest Service ZGS, regional unit Celje) for the golf course, for which the plans have already been made by Arhitektura d.o.o..The last part of the thesis deals with relevant legislation.
