One significant advantage of electric vehicles is the ability to charge them at home. In our thesis, we aimed to extend this benefit to residential communities, where the lack of sufficient charging points for every electric vehicle is a challenge due to the need for additional infrastructure. To address this, we developed a web application and an Android mobile application. Both applications enable users to reserve a charging point for their electric vehicle within a residential community. The web application also provides system management capabilities for the residential community through an administrator account.
Users can utilize both the web and mobile applications to schedule a charging session, monitor the electricity consumption during charging, and view their past and upcoming appointments. Additionally, they have the option to send notifications to other users in case of charging point unavailability.
