In the development of modern electric power devices such as electric motors and generators, or batteries and inverters, we are constantly striving to maximize power output in relation to the volume of the device. Therefore, cooling analysis has become an essential part in practically every application where such a device is present. This work will describe the construction of a cooling system, from concept, design, plans, fabrication and tests on the electric drive system. Such cooling system designs are used for cooling various components in the electric power industry. These can be motors and generators as representatives of electrical drives or electronic components such as batteries and converters. The final product is intended for laboratory use; for cooling the components described above or for characterization of the cooling system performance of connected devices.
