Undergraduate thesis deals with the period of the Algerian revolution, which began on the 1st of November, 1954 with the attacks of Algerian nationalists on the French colonists in Algeria, and ended on the 1st of July, 1962 with the referendum on Algerian indenedence, in which the Algerians finally decided on an independent political path. This extremely complex period of Algerian history was particularly marked by a brutal and bloody war, which was initially of a decolonial nature and took place between the Algerian National Liberation Movement and France, but later developed into a real civil war, in which different Algerian communities clashed. In the text, the author tries to present the multidimensional characteristics of the Algerian revolution, study its origin and the circumstances that led to it, and also analyze the historical events that happened during its duration and the consequences that the Algerian conflict left at both the local and global levels.
