Zdravstvena nega pacienta po ortognatsko kirurškem posegu in doživljanje samopodobe pred in po operativnem posegu : diplomsko delo

Uvod: Ortognatsko kirurški posegi se izvajajo s ciljem izboljšati estetski videz obraza, hkrati pa zagotoviti boljšo funkcionalnost zgornjega in spodnjega čeljustnega sklepa in normalno ugrizno funkcijo. Ti kirurški posegi so kompleksni in lahko zahtevajo daljše obdobje okrevanja ter poseben pristop k zdravstveni negi pacienta. Namen: Namen diplomskega dela je opredeliti pomen in vlogo medicinske sestre pri pacientu po ortognatsko kirurškem posegu in doživljanje samopodobe pri pacientu pred in po operativnem posegu. Metode dela: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela s pregledom slovenske in tuje znanstvene in strokovne literature. Literaturo smo črpali iz elektronskih podatkovnih baz: ScienceDirect, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, COBISS.SI, MedLine. Uporabili smo tudi iskalnik Google Učenjak in Pub Med. Iskanje literature je potekalo s pomočjo besed oziroma besednih zvez v slovenskem jeziku: ortognatski pacient, ortognatsko kirurški poseg, vloga medicinske sestre, pooperativna zdravstvena nega, v angleškem jeziku pa orthognathic patient, orthognathic surgery, nurse role, postoperative nursing care. Obdobje iskanja literature je potekalo od marca 2022 do avgusta 2023. Uporabili smo 37 enot literature. Rezultati: Zdravstvena nega po ortognatsko kirurškem posegu zahteva celosten, individualen pristop in je pomemben del obravnave pacienta. Po posegu pacienti potrebujejo zdravstveno nego, ki prvenstveno vključuje spremljanje vitalnih funkcij, nadzor nad bolečino izvajanje ustne higiene ter spremljanje morebitnih zapletov. Medicinska sestra ima pomembno vlogo pri skrbi za pacienta in zagotavljanju njegove celovite oskrbe. Ortognatsko kirurški poseg izboljša samopodobo pacientov in zmanjša občutljivost na kritiko. Razprava in zaključek: Ortognatsko kirurški poseg je kompleksen kirurški postopek, ki se uporablja za korekcijo deformacij v zgornji in spodnji čeljusti ter obraza. Pacienti potrebujejo ustrezno psihološko podporo v samem procesu pooperativnega zdravljenja. Na podlagi rezultatov diplomskega dela je smiselno opraviti še raziskavo na Oddelku za maksilofacialno in oralno kirurgijo na UKC Ljubljana o vplivu posega na samopodobo operiranih pacientov. • Title: Medical care of the patient after orthognathic surgery and experience of self-esteem before and after the surgery : diploma work

Abstract

Introduction: Orthognathic surgery is performed with the aim of improving the aesthetic appearance of the face, while at the same time ensuring better functionality of the upper and lower jaw joints and normal bite function. These surgical procedures are complex and may require a longer recovery period and a special approach to patient care. Purpose: the purpose of the thesis is to define the importance and role of nursing care and the nurse's intervention in a patient after orthognathic surgery and the patient's self-image before and after surgery. Methods: we used a descriptive method of work with a review of Slovenian and foreign scientific and professional literature. The literature was drawn from electronic databases: ScienceDirect, CINAHL, Cochrane Library, COBISS.SI, MedLine. We also used Google Scholar and Pub Med. The literature search was carried out with the help of words or words in the Slovenian language: orthognathic patient, orthognathic surgery, role of the nurse, postoperative nursing care, and in English, orthognathic patient, orthognathic surgery, nurse role, postoperative nursing care. The literature search period took place from March 2022 to August 2023. Results: Medical care after orthognathic surgery requires a comprehensive, individual approach and is an important part of patient treatment. After the procedure, patients need special medical care, which includes monitoring of vital functions, pain control, oral hygiene and monitoring of possible complications. The nurse plays an important role in caring for the patient and providing him with comprehensive care. Orthognathic surgery improves patients' self-image and reduces sensitivity to criticism. .Discussion and conclusion: Orthognathic surgery is a complex surgical procedure used to correct deformities in the upper and lower jaw and facePatients need psychological support in the very process of postoperative treatment, and based on the results of the diploma thesis, it would be reasonable to carry out research at the Department of Maxillofacial and Oral Surgery at UKC Ljubljana on the impact on the self-image of operated patients.
