Abstract
Odnos državljanov do vojske predstavlja pomembno področje vsake države. Javna podpora in odnos igrata tukaj zelo pomembno vlogo, saj vplivata na nacionalno varnost, učinkovitost vojaških operacij, mednarodni ugled in uspešnost same vojske. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, faktorske analize in linearne regresije smo ugotovili, da imajo državljani do vojske zelo dober in pozitiven odnos. Predstavljene so naloge in poslanstvo Slovenske vojske.

Title:Analysis of the attitude of citizens of the Republic of Slovenia towards the Slovenian Armed Forces
Abstract:
The attitude of citizens towards the military is an important field for any country. Building and maintaining support and trust in the military is crucial to the security of the country and its citizens. The level of trust in the military may vary depending on factors such as culture, history, political relationships, personal experience, and media coverage. Public support and good attitudes play a vital role here, affecting national security, the effectiveness of military operations, the international reputation and the performance of the military itself. The thesis aimed to find out how the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia perceive the Slovenian Armed Forces and what their attitudes towards them are. For the purpose of determining and analyzing the attitude towards the Slovenian Armed Forces, a survey was conducted among the citizens of the Republic of Slovenia. Using a survey questionnaire, factor analysis and linear regression, we found that citizens have a very good and positive attitude towards the army. The high ratings for each statement showed that people trust and believe in their army. The outcome of the regression analysis showed that the attitude towards the army has a significant impact on trust building. The diploma thesis serves as a contribution to the understanding of the field of national defense. The tasks and mission of the Slovenian Armed Forces are presented. The obtained results could serve as an aid in solving the challenges between society and the military and help in any further research.
