In the thesis, I conducted measurements of air temperature and relative humidity, air movement velocity, illumination, and noise levels at various workstations within the educational institution Sonček Kindergarten in Šmarjeta. The purpose was to assess the suitability of the work environment and propose measures to reduce or eliminate irregularities where necessary.
I used the results of the measurements to calculate the parameters for the assessment of (thermal) comfort and compared them with the values prescribed by the Rulebook on Requirements for Ensuring the Safety and Health of Workers at Workplaces, which are supposed to ensure conductive working conditions in which the worker will feel comfortable.
I found that the thermal comfort in the entire educational institution - kindergarten is adequate. Air conditioning and ventilation systems are arranged throughout the building. Illumination is sufficient at all measurement points. The noise exceeds the risk criterion for occupational hearing loss during the free time in the kindergarten playroom by 2 dB above the specified limit. In my thesis, I proposed various organizational, technical, and pedagogical measures that could be used to reduce noise.
