Abstract
Zaradi prehoda k trajnostni družbi se pojavlja vse večja potreba po energijsko učinkovitejših stavbah. Kljub mnogim napredkom in vse večji kompleksnosti, zasteklitev še vedno predstavlja eno izmed šibkih točk v sicer dobro izoliranem fasadnem ovoju. Rešitev za zmanjšanje te šibke točke lahko predstavlja uporaba fazno spremenljivih snovi (FSS), saj s tem zasteklitvi tako efektivno povečamo toplotno kapaciteto. V diplomski nalogi se obravnava delovanje zasteklitve s FSS v primerjavi z običajno zasteklitvijo. Za obravnavo zasteklitve se je postavil model poteka toplotnih tokov in spreminjanja agregatnega stanja FSS, na podlagi katerega smo dobili rezultate toplotnih dobitkov. Problem je bil obravnavan v vremenskih pogojih Ljubljane v poletni sezoni z uporabo dejanskih merjenih vremenskih podatkov in preko simuliranega sinusnega dnevnega poteka temperature. V modelu se je spreminjalo debelino sloja FSS in zraka ter tip FSS različnih konfiguracij zasteklitve v iskanju optimalnih lastnosti in tako ustvarilo zasteklitev, ki v stavbo vnese manj toplote kot običajna zasteklitev. Na podlagi rezultatov smo povzeli priporočila za optimalno zasteklitev. Ugotovili samo tudi, da ima modificirano steklo z določenimi FSS lahko zelo nizke toplotne tokove v času spreminjanja agregatnega stanja FSS, kar lahko prispeva k večjemu toplotnemu udobju.

Title:Analysis of application of phase change material in glazing : graduation thesis
Abstract:
Transition to sustainability is demanding energy efficient buildings. Despite advancements in glazing technology an opening in the buildings envelope is still one of its main weak points. A solution to this problem could be the use of phase change material (PCM), as it significantly improves the thermal capacity of a glazing system. In this graduation thesis evaluated the performance of a PCM-filled glazing versus normal gas-filled glazing. A model was built to calculate energy gains via heat flux and to monitor the behaviour of PCM layer. Real measured data was used to simulate climate conditions of Ljubljana during summer season. Different configurations of glazing and types of PCM were used to find an optimal configuration that performed better than gas-filled glazing. Recommendations for optimal glazing were written based on the results. PCM-filled glazing systems could offer better thermal comfort due to low heat flux during phase change of the PCM layer.
