Oblikovanje turistično informacijske mobilne točke za UNESCO Globalni Geopark Idrija

Idrija je turistična destinacija, ki se skriva na jugozahodu Slovenije. Kljub temu da ponuja raznoliko število atrakcij in aktivnosti, pa jo turisti nemalokrat spregledajo. Občina Idrija se nahaja na območju Unescovega Globalnega Geoparka Idrija, ki predstavlja območje z izjemnimi naravnimi in kulturnimi danostmi, o katerem želi Unescov Globalni Geoparka Idrija izobraževati in ga varovati. V okviru diplomske naloge sem oblikovala turistično informacijsko točko UNESCO Globalnega Geoparka Idrija, ki je danes v fizični obliki zastopan le s strani razstave Zapisano v kamninah in v prospektih. Za razvoj diplomskega dela sem se povezala z UNESCO Globalnim Geoparkom Idrija, Turistično informacijskim centrom Idrija in Zavodom za turizem Idrija ter z njihovim sodelovanjem skušala razviti praktično in realno rešitev, ki bi obiskovalce opremila z informacijami o varovanem območju in njegovih kulturnih posebnostih. Oblikovana turistična točka bo sledila uvrstitvi Idrije na seznam zelenih slovenskih destinacij ter postala vstopna in informativna točka za obiskovalce pred načrtovano izgradnjo vstopne točke v geopark.

• Title: Designing the Tourist Information Mobile Point for UNESCO Global Geopark Idrija

Abstract

Idrija is a tourist destination, hiding in the southeast of Slovenia. Even though it offers a varied offer of attractions and activities it is often overlooked by tourists. The Municipality of Idrija is located in the area of UNESCO Global Geopark Idrija, an area with outstanding natural and cultural heritage that UNESCO Global Geopark Idrija wants to educate about and protect. In my thesis, I designed the tourist information point of UNESCO Global geopark Idrija, which is today physically represented only in a form of the exhibition Written in the Rocks and brochures. For the development of the thesis, I reached out to UNESCO Global Geopark Idrija, Tourist Information Centre Idrija and Idrija Tourism Board and with their cooperation tried to design a practical and realistic solution that would equip the visitors with information about the protected area and its cultural specialities. Designed tourist point will follow Idrija's ranking on the list of Slovenia’s green destinations, becoming an entrance and information point for visitors before the planned construction of the entrance point in geopark.
