Abstract
Naloga obravnava vpliv standardnih populacijskih feromonov (Pheropraxr, Chalcopraxr in Curviwitr) na vrsto Ips amitinus (E.).

Abstract:
This thesis discusses the influence of the prevailing population pheromones (Pheropraxr, Chalcopraxr and Curviwitr) on the Ips amitinus (E.) species. The research was carried out in local unit Dravograd. The catches of spruce bark beetles and random catch were monitored at three locations of different exposition and different heights above sea level, using Theysohn's controlcatch traps. On each location, four traps were set in a horizontal linewith a span of four metres. Three of them were equipped with an individualpopulation pheromone, the fourth contained no pheromone, serving as a check. The catch was supervised over the period of 11/06 to 22/09/2005. The weather data of the station Slovenj Gradec were obtained from the Environmental Agency of the Republic of Slovenia. We have come to the conclusion that the above-mentioned pheromones have a minimal effect on the Ips amitinus (E.) species, the strongest being that of Pheropraxr. For the purpose of population density check, control catch trunks have proved more effective.
