Abstract
Vse tri vrste zveri skupaj so najbolj razširjene v Trnovskem gozdu s Hrušico in Nanosom.

Abstract:
The graduation thesis is a part of Interreg IIIA project (Sustainable management with free living animals on the border area). The purpose of the project is to establish sustainable management with free-living animals in theborder area between Slovenia and Italy. The efforts of this graduation thesis are directed into research of large carnivores in this area. The main purpose of the thesis is to find out the actual distribution of eurasian lynx, brown bear and grey wolf in the border area. For the purpose of the research we defined the research area Interreg, which is spread along both sides of Slovenian - Italian border. In this area we gathered all available data about the studied animals and classified them into three or four categories: harvest, damage that they made, monitoring and at bear we added the systematically gathered data. We analysed the data by kernel metod in the program ArcWiew Gis3.2 and made a projection of the actual expand of the species by different categories of data. At the end we gathered all data and made a projection of the general presence of large carnivores in the studied area. The results show, that most of the brown bears in the area are in the southeast of the studied area and in Trnovski gozd. The biggest presence of lynx is around Idrija and in the north of the studied area. And most of wolvesare in the southeast of the Interreg area, which we are working on. The strongest presence of all three species together is in Trnovski gozd with Nanos and Hrušica. But the most important area for the research is the area west of Kobarid. This area is very important for the migration of large carnivores into Italy. In Slovenia we have to enable free migration of carnivores between these two areas. For further spreading into Italy it is necessary to inform and guide the local inhabitants.
