Abstract

Title:Thermoelasticity-based vibration fatigue identification
Abstract:
In the master's thesis, the potential of using the thermoelastic principle for the analysis of vibration fatigue is researched. The application of thermoelasticity laws allows for the experimental determination of full field damage with high spatial resolution. In a numerical experiment, the thermoelastic response of the structure to random excitation is simulated using the finite element method, from which damage is determined. The result is compared with the classical method of vibration fatigue using equivalent von Mises stress (EVMS). Additionally, a measurement with a thermal camera is conducted to experimentally confirm the assumptions and results of the numerical experiment.
