Abstract
Hard carbon are state-of-the-art anode material for sodium-ion batteries. Their performance is closely linked to their properties. To enhance their capacity and their cycling life it is of great importance to better understand the factors leading to their loss of performance. In this aim hard carbon materials are prepared by different precursors (phenolic resin, biopolymer, and mixture of synthetic polymer and biopolymer), and their properties (structure, porosity, chemistry, and morphology) are studied by various techniques. The electrochemical performance is determined vs. Na+ and the electrode properties after cycling are analyzed deeply to understand the key parameters limiting their performance.

Title:Optimisation of Hard Carbon Electrodes and Analysis of the SEI for Sodium-Ion Batteries
Abstract:
Trdi ogljik je najsodobnejši anodni material za natrijeve ionske baterije. Njihovo delovanje je tesno povezano z njihovimi lastnostmi. Da bi povečali njihovo zmogljivost in življenjsko dobo cikla, je zelo pomembno bolje razumeti dejavnike, ki vodijo do izgube njihove učinkovitosti. V ta namen se trdi ogljikovi materiali pripravijo z različnimi prekurzorji (fenolna smola, biopolimer in mešanica sintetičnega polimera in biopolimera), njihove lastnosti (struktura, poroznost, kemija in morfologija) pa se proučujejo z različnimi tehnikami. Elektrokemična zmogljivost je določena v primerjavi z Na+ in lastnosti elektrod po ciklih so podrobno analizirane, da bi razumeli ključne parametre, ki omejujejo njihovo učinkovitost.
