Abstract
Pri diplomski nalogi se osredotočimo na raziskovanje in razvoj mobilne aplikacije za navigacijo po notranjih prostorih na območju Fakultete za računalništvo in informatiko na Univerzi v Ljubljani. Takšne mobilne aplikacije uporabnika na različne načine vodijo od začetne do končne željene pozicije. Ker globalni navigacijski satelitski sistem v notranjosti objektov deluje omejeno, moramo uporabiti tudi mnoge druge senzorje in načine za boljšo lokalizacijo in pozicioniranje naprave. Tovrstne mobilne aplikacije so sedaj še v hitrem razvoju, saj mobilni telefoni hitro napredujejo in imajo vedno več vgrajenih senzorjev in večjo zmogljivost. V nalogi predstavimo trenutno stanje sistemov za notranjo navigacijo, uporabo senzorjev in tehnik ter različnih algoritmov, ki jih ob meritvah signalov potrebujemo za ustrezno navigacijo. Razvili smo tudi primer mobilne aplikacije za notranjo navigacijo na osnovi platforme IndoorAtlas, kjer uporabnika navigiramo preko prikaza na zemljevidu.

Title:Development of an indoor navigation mobile application
Abstract:
In this thesis we focus on the research and development of a mobile application for indoor navigation inside the Faculty of Computer and Information Science at University of Ljubljana. Apps like these navigate the user from his starting point to the final desired location in various ways of interacting. As the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) has limited functionality inside buildings, we need to use sensors that are integrated in mobile devices and other methods for better indoor localization and indoor positioning of the device. These systems are still under rapid development as mobile phones are advancing and have more built-in features, sensors and all-in-all better capabilities. In this thesis we present the current state of the art technology of indoor navigation systems, which sensors are used and how they are used and the different algorithms and methods needed to properly navigate and localize the device when measuring signals. We have also developed a prototype of a mobile appplication for indoor navigation based on the IndoorAtlas platform, where the user is navigated to his desired destination via a map display.
