For the diploma thesis, a challenge was set to change the way subsidized student meals are used in Slovenia. Even though the current system has proved to be effective, it is of common belief, that it could be significantly improved, if some specific segments were taken care of beforehand. The new mobile application would combine all three parts of usage into one - the proof of students' identity, usage of the subsidy/voucher, and the payment of the meal itself. To verify the buyers' identity, one can use the student's self-sovereign identity. In this way, using a voucher would be much easier and faster, since the usage of a wallet and an ID card is no longer needed.
