Wastewater treatment is becoming increasingly vital worldwide. The quality of purification and the energy efficiency of the process heavily depend on the choice of components and operating machines.
The selection of operating machines pertains to compressors and blowers of various types. The efficiency of each individual operating machine is crucial for the effective operation of the system. Therefore, we have defined specific operating ranges for each operating machine and considered energy consumption during their operation to ensure the highest energy efficiency.
Understanding the area in which the industrial machines operate and the values of pressure and flow is crucial for making the correct sensor selection and ensuring their optimal performance. Furthermore, we have identified key factors influencing the system and the operation of each individual machine, which allows for a better understanding and optimization of the entire wastewater treatment system.
The result of the task indicates that the most suitable type of machine for air aeration is a Roots blower. The use of a two-stage centrifugal blower is also appropriate. However,
spiral and piston compressors have insufficient flow, as they are generally designed for higher pressures given the same power.
