Abstract
V magistrskem delu raziskujem perspektive socialnega dela v srednjih šolah. Ker je socialno delo v srednjih šolah sekundarna praksa in je s tem manj razvidno, se ne želim omejiti le na raziskovanje dela v šolskih svetovalnih službah, temveč želim razsežnosti socialnega dela preplesti v razrede, med dijake, zaposlene, družine in skupnost. Prizadevam si za celostno razumevanje potreb po vnašanju socialnega dela na vse nize, ki so za vzgojo in izobraževanje pomembni. S teoretsko raziskavo sem želela ugotoviti, katera področja dela opravljajo socialne delavke v srednjih šolah, kako že pripomorejo k izboljšanemu konceptu vzgoje in izobraževanja, ter podati nekoliko kritično mišljenje oziroma ideje in predloge za izboljšanje delovanja socialnih delavcev v srednjih šolah. Osredotočiti sem se želela na koncept inkluzivnosti in se dotakniti koncepta spoštovanja otroštva. V uvodnem delu sem predstavila krajši zgodovinski pregled delovanja in razvoja šolske svetovalne službe, za jasnejše videnje sprememb in napredka. Nadaljevala sem z opredelitvijo tega, kako naj bi svetovalna služba v srednji šoli delovala danes in kaj vse zajema delo svetovalnega delavca. Kasneje, s celostno opredelitvijo socialnega dela, opredelim splošno socialno delo, šolsko socialno delo, kasneje se tu posvetim še pregledu socialnega dela z otroki in mladostniki. Raziskujem socialno pravičnost in enake možnosti za vse in se posledično dotaknem opredelitve družin z različnimi izzivi, ki so v šolskem prostoru od nekdaj prisotne. Ker se osredotočam predvsem na delo v srednjih šolah, v nalogi raziščem šolsko kulturo, zaposlene in odnose oziroma sodelovanje šole s starši in skupnostjo. V zaključku skušam vse ugotovljeno smiselno strniti in povzeti ter jasno poudariti prispevke, ki jih socialno delo v srednji šoli ima. Izpostavim predloge in potenciale, ki jih skozi raziskovanje in delo opažam sama.

Title:Perspectives of social work in highschool
Abstract:
In my master’s thesis, I explore the perspectives of social work in secondary schools. Since social work in secondary schools is a secondary practice and thus less visible, I do not want to limit myself to researching the work in school counselling services, but I want to weave the dimensions of social work into classes, between students, employees, families and the community. I strive for a holistic understanding of the need to introduce social work into all sets that are important for upbringing and education. With the theoretical research I wanted to find out which areas of work are performed by social workers in secondary schools, how they already contribute to an improved concept of upbringing and education, and to give some critical thinking or ideas and proposals for improving the functioning of social workers in secondary schools. I also wanted to focus on the concept of inclusiveness and touch on the concept of respect for childhood. In the introductory part, I presented a brief historical overview of the operation and development of the school counselling service, for a clearer vision of changes and progress. I went on to define how the counseling service in high school should work today and what all the counseling work entails. Later, with a comprehensive definition of social work, I define general social work, school social work, and later focus on the review of social work with children and adolescents. I also explore social justice and equal opportunities for all and consequently touch on the definition of families with different challenges. Since I focus mainly on work in secondary schools, the assignment also explores school culture, employees and the school’s relationships with parents and the community. In conclusion, I try to summarize all the findings and clearly emphasize the contributions that social work has in secondary school. I also highlight proposals and potentials that I see through research and work.
