Abstract
Magistrsko delo obravnava problem proizvodnega procesa ohišij menjalnikov, pri katerem se je tekom končne kontrole izdelkov ugotovilo, da z njim ne dosegamo zahtevanih specifikacij cilindričnosti dveh valjev ohišja. Analizo obstoječega in kasneje tudi izboljšanega procesa smo izvedli s pomočjo kontrolnih kart in histogramov, za iskanje možnih vzrokov za napake smo uporabili FMEA metodologijo, proizvodni proces smo predstavili in razčlenili z IDEF0 diagrami, meritve ohišij pa smo pridobili z uporabo CMM stroja. Najprej smo analizirali in potrdili nezmožnost dosege zahtevanih specifikacij z obstoječim procesom. Z uporabo FMEA metodologije smo nato identificirali možen vzrok za napako in implementirali izboljšavo za odpravo napake v procesu. Iz rezultatov analize izboljšanega procesa smo ugotovili, da ta dosega zahtevane specifikacije cilindričnosti valjev ohišja menjalnika, prav tako pa smo potrdili, da je proces stabilen in sposoben.

Title:Using quality tools to improve the gearbox housing manufacturing process
Abstract:
In the master's thesis, an issue was addressed concerning the gearbox manufacturing process. During the final product inspection, it was identified that two cylinders failed to meet the required cylindricity specifications. Both the existing and the improved processes were analyzed using control charts and histograms. The FMEA methodology was employed to explore potential root causes for these discrepancies. The production process was depicted and analyzed using IDEF0 diagrams, and measurements of the gearbox housings were undertaken with a coordinate measuring machine. Initially, it was confirmed that the existing process couldn't meet the set specifications. Utilizing the FMEA methodology, a potential cause for the deviation was identified. An improvement was subsequently introduced to correct the error within the process. The outcome of the analysis indicated that the improved process now meets the cylindricity requirements for the cylinders. Additionally, it was affirmed that the process is both stable and capable.
