In our society, the problem of global warming is becoming increasingly closer to individuals,
as its impact is more and more noticeable. In order to mitigate the problem, companies have
conceived documents that inform people about the environmental impact of manufacturing
a specific product or process. An example of such documents is the Environmental Product
Declaration (EPD). This is a declaration that shows us the emissions scope of a particular
company or organization.
In the thesis, we will get acquainted with EPD documents and their composition process in
detail. Additionally, we will examine examples of EPD tables from two different companies
engaged in glass production. The documents address pollution data from the production of
glass at Guardian Glass company and the further processing of glass at REFLEX company.
The aim of the thesis is to determine, through the analysis of EPD tables from these
companies, which type of glass in more environmentally friendly.
