Abstract
Sledi poglavje o modeliranju in načinih, kako lahko 3D-objekt oziroma njegovo geometrijo predstavimo in kaj so prednosti določenega pristopa k modeliranju. Model smo umestili v sceno, mu dodali materiale in izvozili končno animacijo. Posnetki so bili nato uvoženi v program Adobe Premiere Pro, kjer smo animacijo dopolnili še z glasbo in besedilom

Title:Creation of 3D model in autodesk alias autostudio
Abstract:
This paper titled Creation of 3D Model in Autodesk Alias Autostudio presents the entire process from the import of hand-drawn sketches into the programme to final 3D model visualisations. The theoretical part briefly presents the development of computer-aided planning and its advantages. Since the final product of this paper was a 3D car model, the theoretical part describes work phases in the automobile industry and how ideas written on a piece of paper can be transformed into a final conceptual product. It goes on to discuss modelling and ways to present a 3D object and its geometry, portraying the advantages of certain approaches to modelling. Then it describes the notion of A-model grade, the standards it must require, why it is important and the work phase in which it is present in the automobile industry. The chapter titled »Basic Elements« describes NURBS curves, NURBS surfaces, continuities and tolerances used to make the model visually pleasing and watertight. The final section of the theoretical part demonstrates the Alias user interface and its main menus. The experimental part describes how a wireframe was created based on sketches and how surfaces were added using different tools. In this phase, we explored different tools used to achieve tolerances and continuities. The wireframe served as a starting point used for orientation in the working space and to acquire a sense of the volume of the car. Throughout the entire modelling process, we verified continuities due to different breaks and holes that appeared between the surfaces. The model was analysed using different shaders providing information about the surfaces. The finished modelling process was followed by the rendering process. The model was saved and imported into the VRED programme specialised to create model visualisations – prototypes. We introduced the model into a scene, added materials and exported the final animation. The recordings were then imported into Adobe Premiere Pro where the animation was complemented with music and text.
