Abstract

Title:The Moral and Ethical Viewpoint of Josip Stritar
Abstract:
The thesis presents the influence of the philosophers Jean-Jacques Rousseau, Immanuel Kant and Arthur Schopenhauer on the 19th century Slovenian writer Josip Stritar. It presents the main works and outlines the central concepts, theses and arguments of Rousseau's and Kant's theory of aesthetics and Schopenhauer's practical philosophy, and then their influence on the 19th century Slovenian writer Josip Stritar. The central part of the thesis thus presents Stritar's main literary periods, in which the connection and influence of philosophers on Stritar is evident, with the main focus being on confirming or refuting the theses of the Slovenian literary historians Anton Slodnjak, Jože Pogačnik and Ivan Prijatelj on foreign influences on Stritar's outlook.
