My thesis presents the tumulus culture of the Middle Bronze Age in Slovenia. This culture, predominant in the Central European region, spanned from the 16th to the 14th century BC. In Slovenia, we encounter various sites belonging to the tumulus culture, with the tumulus from Brezje under Brinjeva gora being particularly highlighted. My analysis, in addition to addressing other archaeological sites and finds, also incorporated data from neighboring regions such as eastern Austria and western Hungary, which show similarities with Slovenian finds. The aim of my work was to deepen the understanding of the mound culture in Slovenia using literature, LiDAR imagery, and field surveys.
