The author of the undergraduate thesis questions the concept of sustainable mobility and its presence in Ljubljana through reviewing some sources and literature, and especially through ethnographic fieldwork. In doing so, she notes that sustainable mobility is a concept that is difficult to define and with that recognizes the significance of understanding and of inclusion of various stakeholders, who are present in the field of sustainable mobility in Ljubljana, as more important than a general definition. As the key participants in defining and managing sustainable mobility in Ljubljana, she recognizes decision-makers at the national and local level; service providers; and civil society, i.e., non-governmental organizations and the users of the systems themselves. Based on this classification, she briefly describes the role of each group and possible (opportunities for) collaborations between them. Through the interviews with the users, the author becomes familiar with the experiences of different forms of transport, which are defined as sustainable. With reference to this, she also addresses the values and circumstances recognized by the interlocutors, which influence the decisions for the chosen forms of (sustainable) mobility.
