In cancer treatment, radiotherapy with photons or ions can be used and this is commonly referred to as particle therapy (PT). PT offers an advantage over the more common photon radiotherapy as it allows better dose shaping and can thus better conform radiation to the tumor.
The goal of the diploma thesis is to develop a simulator that would facilitate an efficient workflow for a typical physiotherapy institution and help to identify any potential errors in the workflow or in the data used for treatment.
The thesis presents treatment of cancer, the devices used in the delivery of the therapy, and users who perform the therapy delivery to the patient efficiently and without problems. In the development of the simulator, we utilized the .NET framework, Rider development environment, Git and GitLab systems, and the C\# programming language. We met all the implementation requirements and develop an effective simulator according to the client's requirements. In the conclusion, we summarize the problems we encountered during the development of the simulator and present the possibilities for further development.
