Abstract
Diplomsko delo predstavlja privatizacijo Nove KBM d. d., ki se je začela v letu 2014 in bila zaključena v letu 2016. Raziskovani so vzroki, načini in posledice privatizacije na izbranem primeru in primerjava upravljanja pred in po privatizaciji, da se lahko potrdi, ali je bila privatizacija uspešna z vidika boljše učinkovitosti in dobičkonosnosti. Namen diplomskega dela je predstaviti postopek privatizacije in poslovanja banke skozi leta, z zagotavljanjem relevantnih rezultatov na podlagi finančnih izkazov. Za raziskavo je bila uporabljena kvalitativna metoda – analiza dokumentov, natančneje so bila analizirana letna poročila banke in finančni izkazi. S pridobljenimi podatki je bilo izbrano obdobje od leta 2013 do 2022, v katerem so zajeta obdobja upravljanja banke pod državnim in zasebnim okriljem. V okviru raziskave se ugotovi, da je privatizacija dobro vplivala na podjetje, saj so se finančni kazalniki od leta privatizacije izboljšali, dobičkonosnost banke se je povišala in delež stroškov se je v razmerju s prihodki znižal. Ugotovitve pokažejo, da je bila privatizacija uspešna. Organizacija banke se je z letom 2017 precej spremenila, kar je posledica sprejete strategije, ki jim je začrtala pot do naslova najboljše banke v Sloveniji. Diplomsko delo bo pomagalo vsakemu, ki ga zanima privatizacija banke, pri čemer si lahko ogleda kronološki potek privatizacije obravnavanega primera, s ključnimi dogodki in zagotovljenimi rezultati analize. Diplomsko delo poda pregled literature številnih avtorjev s področja privatizacije, njenih procesov, ciljev, posledic, vzrokov in načinov. V delu se najdejo vse ključne informacije potrebne za poznavanje privatizacije v Sloveniji in pravni viri na katere se nanaša privatizacija.

Title:PRIVATIZATION OF NOVA KBM D. D.
Abstract:
The thesis presents the privatization of Nova KBM d. d., which started in 2014 and was concluded in 2016. The research examines the causes, methods, and consequences of privatization in the selected case, followed by a comparison of management before and after privatization, in order to confirm whether privatization was successful in terms of improved efficiency and profitability. The aim of the thesis is to outline the privatization process and the bank's operations over the years, while providing relevant results based on financial statements. For the research, a qualitative method was used - document analysis. Specifically, the bank's annual reports and financial statements. The acquired data covered the period from 2013 to 2022, encompassing the periods of bank management under state control and private ownership. As part of the research, it is found that privatization had a positive impact on the company, as financial indicators improved since the year of privatization. The bank's profitability increased, and the proportion of costs relative to revenues decreased. The findings indicate that privatization was successful. The bank's organization underwent significant changes starting in 2017, a result of the adopted strategy that aimed to position them as the best bank in Slovenia. The thesis will be helpful to anyone interested in this specific bank, as it provides a chronological overview of privatization in this case, with precise dates of key events and assured results of the analysis. The literature review summarizes the works of numerous authors in the field of privatization, its processes, goals, consequences, causes, and methods. The work includes all the key information necessary for understanding privatization in Slovenia and legal sources related to privatization.
