The diploma thesis deals with the topic of integration of women into the labour market
in Slovenia. This includes the area of measures and policies to promote equal
opportunities for women and men employment. The integration of women into the
labour market is crucial for achieving gender equality, promoting economic growth and
development and ensuring social security. It focuses on ensuring equal opportunities
and equal treatment for women in recruitment, promotion, pay and working conditions.
The thesis consists of theoretical and empirical work. The work is divided into nine
substantive chapters that describe the integration of women into the labour market in
Slovenia. The diploma work uses methods of description, research method, historical
method, statistical method and method of synthesis and evaluation. The work
describes the path of women’s integration into the labour market, from the same history
or the beginning of women’s integration into the labour market, to the position of
women in the labour market today, discrimination against women, flexibility of work,
measures for the integration of women into the labour market and the birth rate after
integration of women into the labour market. In the empirical part, on the basis of a
survey questionnaire, research is conducted on the current state of women’s
integration into the labour market in Slovenia. The aim of the theoretical work is to
produce a review of the literature using descriptive and statistical methods, while the
aim of the empirical work is to analyse the inclusion of women in the labour market
today.
On the basis of the analysis, the purpose of the diploma work has been achieved, but
otherwise it was found that the situation of women on the labour market in Slovenia
has further improves throughout history and discrimination has also decreased.
