The paper applies the theoretical notions of text as a rhizome (Deleuze, Guattary), as an intertextual weaving of other cultural and historical texts (Roland Barthes) and a performative turn (Fischer Lichte) to the contemporary Slovene playwrights and performance artists Dušan Jovanović, Draga Potočnjak, Simona Semenič and Janez Janša. It outlines a specific quality of Slovene literature and theatre: the rhizomatic nature of intertextuality and intermediality.
