Diplomska naloga z naslovom »Samozadostnost soseske z vključevanjem urbanega kmetovanja« izpostavlja problematiko urbanizacije v 21. stoletju. V ospredje postavlja vprašanje, kako se moderna mesta soočajo s izzivi, ki jih prinaša hitra urbanizacija, ter kako lahko vključevanje urbanega kmetovanja postane ključna komponenta v iskanju trajnostnih rešitev za sodobno urbano okolico. Diplomska naloga raziskuje potencial vključevanja kmetijstva v urbano okolje in ponuja vpogled v trajnostno urbanistično načrtovanje, odpornost skupnosti ter ustvarjanje živahnih in samozadostnih sosesk. Raziskava se giblje na presečišču urbanizma in kmetijstva, lahko služi kot vizija razvoja mest prihodnosti ter utira pot inovativnim strategijam urbanega razvoja, ki bodo v prihodnjih desetletjih spodbujale okolijsko harmonijo, socialno kohezijo in razvoj odpornih trajnostnih mest.

Abstract

This graduation thesis entitled “Neighbourhood self-sufficiency through the integration of urban farming” highlights the issue of urbanisation in the 21st century. It focuses on how modern cities are facing the challenges of rapid urbanisation and how the integration of urban farming can become a key component in the search for sustainable solutions for the modern urban environment. The graduation thesis explores the potential of integrating agriculture into the urban environment and offers insights into sustainable urban planning, community resilience and the creation of vibrant and self-sufficient neighbourhoods. The research is placed at the intersection of urban planning and agriculture and can serve as a vision for the development of future cities, paving the way for innovative urban development strategies that will promote environmental harmony, social cohesion and the development of resilient sustainable cities in the decades to come.
