Idejna zasnova permakulturnega centra na lokaciji dvorca Podgrad pri Vranskem

Naloga se navezuje na konkretno lokacijo dvorca Podgrad pri Vranskem, ki daje povod za več tematik. Območje je kljub svojim prostorskim kvalitetam ter prisotnosti kulturne dediščine nedelujoč prostor v pogledu kraja. Na območju že deluje manjše permakulturno društvo, kar odpre temo permakulture kot potencialnega programa, ki bi z več aktivnostmi lahko omogočil aktivno delovanje dvorca Podgrad v splošni javnosti. Na drugi strani je permakultura pomembna tema za sodobni svet v ekološki krizi. V javnosti je ta način pridelave in oblikovanja človeškega okolja še precej neznan in kliče po večji izpostavljenosti. Nedavni rekonstrukciji dela dvorca in pripadajočega gospodarskega objekta na lokaciji odpreta temo prenove kulturne dediščine. Skozi doktrine organizacije ICOMOS ter referenčne primerov prenov naloga raziskuje, kakšen odnos bi novi posegi v prenovi morali vzpostaviti do obstoječih objektov. V namen opredelitve glede rekonstrukcij se podrobneje razišče tudi stavbni razvoj objektov na lokaciji. Na preplet problemov različnih tematik naloga poda odgovor v obliki projekta permakulturne posesti z vzpostavitvijo permakulturnega centra z večplastnim programom, ki v aktivnosti poizkuša vključiti splošno lokalno javnost. Program se smiselno umesti v obstoječa objekta na lokaciji, dvorec in gospodarski objekt. Naloga se glede na ugotovljeno opredeli glede nedavnih prenov dvorca. Nanje poizkuša podati ustrezen odziv v obliki prenove dvorca in predelave gospodarskega objekta v permakulturni center.

• Title: Conceptual design of a centre for permaculture at the location of mansion Podgrad near Vransko

Abstract

The assignment is related to the location of the manor Podgrad near village Vransko, which draws attention to several topics. In spite of its spatial qualities and the presence of cultural heritage on the site, the area is a non-active space from the point of view of Vransko. A small permaculture community already operates in the area, which opens up the topic of permaculture as a potential program that, with more activities, could open up Podgrad manor and its surroundings to the active use of space by the general public. On the other hand, permaculture is an important topic for the modern world in an ecological crisis. The ‘permaculture’ way of producing food and shaping the human environment is still largely unknown to the public and calls for greater exposure. On the other side, the recent reconstruction of a part of the manor and the nearby agricultural facility opens up the topic of renovation of cultural heritage. Through the doctrines of the ICOMOS organization and architectural examples of renovations, the assignment looks into what kind of relationship new renovations should establish with existing buildings. For the purpose of defining an opinion on the reconstructions, the historical building development of the complex is also investigated in more detail. The assignment provides an answer to the interweaving of problems of various topics in the form of an architectural project. The project establishes a permaculture property with a permaculture center. The main program of the project is an educational centre, but also incorporates a multifaceted program that tries to involve the local general public in the activities. The program is sensibly placed in the existing buildings on the site, the mansion and the agricultural facility. The assignment tries to give an appropriate response to the existing in the form of a conceptual design of a renovation of the mansion and reuse of the commercial building for the main building of the permaculture center.
