Abstract
V okviru naše raziskave smo preučevali mehanske lastnosti ivernih plošč, izdelanih iz iveri bambusa. Iverjenje stebel bambusa smo izvedli v laboratorijskem iverilniku, nakar smo iveri presejali, da smo dobili primerne frakcije. V nadaljevanju smo izvedli serijo poskusov, pri katerih smo raziskovali različne kombinacije iveri smreke in bambusa, ki smo jih povezali z uporabo urea-formaldehidnega lepila. Skupaj smo izdelali pet enoslojnih in štiri trislojne iverne plošče. Izdelanim ploščam smo določili upogibno in natezno trdnost ter debelinski nabrek. Pridobljeni podatki kažejo, da so mehanske lastnosti ivernih plošč, izdelanih iz bambusa, primerljive s tistimi, izdelanih iz iveri smreke. Naša raziskava odpira pomembne aspekte za industrijo in trajnostne rešitve pri proizvodnji ivernih plošč. Bambus služi kot odlična alternativa za tradicionalno uporabljane materiale.

Title:Baboo as raw material for particleboard
Abstract:
In presented research, we examined the mechanical properties of particleboards made from bamboo particles. The particles were obtained by processing bamboo stems in a laboratory chipper, followed by sieving to obtain suitable fractions. Subsequently, we conducted a series of experiments, exploring various combinations of spruce and bamboo made particleboards bonded together using urea-formaldehyde resin. Altogether, we manufactured five single-layer particleboards and four three-layer particleboards. We determined the flexural and tensile strengths as well as the thickness swelling of the produced boards. The obtained data indicated that the mechanical properties of particleboards made from bamboo are comparable to those made from spruce particles. Our research reveals important aspects for the industry and sustainable solutions in the production of particleboards. Bamboo serves as an excellent alternative to traditionally used materials.
