Abstract
Organizacije, katerih cilj je učinkovito in uspešno delovanje, morajo skrbeti za svoje zaposlene. Vodstvo posamezne organizacije mora stremeti k oblikovanju delovnega okolja, kjer bi zaposleni izkazovali visoko raven delovne uspešnosti, saj bo tako organizacija dosegla svoje zastavljene cilje in uspešno konkurirala v dinamičnem okolju. Zaradi številnih dejavnikov, ki vplivajo na delovno uspešnost zaposlenih, in omejenih virov, se mora vodstvo odločiti, da se bo osredotočilo zgolj na nekatere izmed njih. Namen magistrskega dela je ugotoviti, ali sta motivacija in zavzetost, dejavnika, ki bosta vplivala na delovno uspešnost zaposlenih v izbrani organizaciji. Za namen ugotovitve in analize vpliva motivacije in zavzetosti na delovno uspešnost je bila, poleg pregleda literature, izvedena raziskava na Ministrstvu Republike Slovenije za infrastrukturo. S pomočjo anketnega vprašalnika, faktorske analize in linerane regresije je bil potrjen delni vpliv motivacije in zavzetosti na določene dimenzije delovne uspešnosti zaposlenih. Pri tem je bilo tudi ugotovljeno, da dimenzije motivacije izkazujejo večji vpliv na dimenzije delovne uspešnosti kot pa dimenzije zavzetosti zaposlenih. Rezultati raziskave so pokazali, katere dimenzije motivacije in zavzetosti pozitivno vplivajo na dimenzije delovne uspešnosti ter s tem dejavnike, na katere se vodstvo Ministrstva Republike Slovenije za infrastrukturo lahko osredotoči, da bi vplivali na zvišanje ravni delovne uspešnosti njihovih zaposlenih. Rezultat magistrskega dela predstavlja oblikovan merski instrument za merjenje ravni motivacije, zavzetosti in delovne uspešnosti, ., ki ga lahko uporabijo tudi druge organizacije v slovenski javni upravi. Nadaljnja raziskovanja bi lahko vključevala več spremenljivk posameznega obravnavanega pojma, da bi vodstvo posamezne organizacije lahko pridobilo podrobnejši vpogled v stanje motivacije, zavzetosti in delovne uspešnosti svojih zaposlenih.

Title:The impact of motivation and commitment on the work performance of employees in the Ministry of Infrastructure
Abstract:
Organizations that aim to operate efficiently and effectively must take care of their employees. The management of an individual organization must strive to create a working environment where employees would demonstrate a high level of work performance, as this way the organization will achieve its set goals and successfully compete in a dynamic environment. Due to many factors affecting employee performance and limited resources, management must decide to focus on only a few of them. The purpose of the master's thesis is to determine whether motivation and commitment are factors that will affect the work performance of employees in the selected organization. For the purpose of finding and analysing the impact of motivation and commitment on work performance, in addition to a literature review, a survey was carried out at the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Slovenia. With the help of a questionnaire, factor analysis and linear regression, the partial impact of motivation and commitment on certain dimensions of work performance of employees was confirmed. It was also found that the dimensions of motivation show a greater impact on the dimensions of work performance than on the dimensions of employee commitment. The results of the research showed which dimensions of motivation and commitment have a positive impact on the dimensions of work performance and thus on the factors on which the management of the Ministry of Infrastructure of the Republic of Slovenia can focus in order to influence the increase in the level of work performance of their employees. In addition, the master's thesis has designed a measurement insturment for measuring the level of motivation, commitment and work performance, which can also be used by other organizations in the Slovenian public administration. Further research could include several variables of each concept under consideration in order to give the management of each organization a more detailed insight into the state of motivation, commitment and work performance of its employees.
