The Master's thesis deals with two interrelated but essentially different concepts; sexism and sexual harassment, which mostly affect women. The work specifically deals with the experience of sexism and sexual harassment of female students in the context of student work. Both sexism and sexual harassment occur frequently in the workplace. Sexism, which is defined as unequal evaluation and treatment based on gender, manifests itself in gender segregation, gender pay gap, promotion discrimination ... Sexual harassment is any form of unwanted verbal, non-verbal or physical conduct or behavior of a sexual nature with the intention to harm the dignity of a person, which can have many consequences for the victim. Due to the irregular form of employment, youth and gender, female students belong to one of the most at-risk groups when it comes to the risk of harassment in the workplace. In this Master's thesis, I therefore used the written narratives of female students to investigate their experiences with sexism and sexual harassment at work and the power relations that contribute to these events. I also examined the mechanisms and strategies that organizations could implement to protect their employees.
