In my thesis, I will focus on designing urban furniture for parks. I will review various components, including
equipment and materials suitable for the environment. I will also review existing solutions and research the
area and context of use. I will pay special attention to designing furniture that promotes contact with nature
and allows for interaction with it because parks must provide relaxation, activity, and socialization in a
natural environment.
In the project, I will focus on solving the problem of how to provide activities in the park peacefully and
attractively. I will consider the possibilities of using natural materials and equipment that are friendly to the
environment. I will also consider challenges, such as vandalism and weather resistance, which can affect the
maintenance of park equipment.
I will emphasize interaction with nature because many parks rely on components that are not lively and
interactive enough. The inclusion of various elements of urban furniture can provide an interesting
experience for park users. Well-designed urban furniture should blend in with the environment and be
unnoticeable, except when we need it.
