Abstract
Hiter in dinamičen način življenja sodobnega sveta, nenehen razvoj in napredki ter soočanje z raznimi izzivi, vodijo k vse večji obremenjenosti infrastrukturnih objektov. Projektiranje nove cestne infrastrukture zahteva natančno načrtovanje in optimizacijo. Izbira trase ceste je v procesu planiranja ključnega pomena, pri čemer se največkrat poslužujemo poenostavljenih modelov prostora, s pomočjo katerih med seboj primerjamo različne variante trase. Diplomska naloga predstavlja uporabo tehnologije geografsko informacijskega sistema za izdelavo modela prostora in izbor optimalne variante trase ceste ter možnosti določitve optimalnega koridorja oziroma optimalne poti. V prvem delu je definirana presoja vplivov na okolje ter predstavljen namen, cilji in vsebina varstva okolja v postopku planiranja cest. Opredeljen je geografsko informacijski sistem, njegova uporaba in glavne značilnosti dela s sistemom, podatki ter podatkovnimi modeli. V nadaljevanju je predstavljen uporabniški vmesnik opreme ArcGIS Pro ter njegove možnosti primerjane z možnostmi, ki jih nudi ArcMap. Podrobneje je opisano delo z ArcGIS Pro in uporaba glavnih funkcionalnosti programa pri izbiri variante trase ceste za vektorski in rastrski podatkovni model. Na primeru območja Kostanjevica na Krki so analizirane variante trase, sicer že zgrajene obvoznice Kostanjevica. Variante so analizirane na podlagi razpoložljivih vektorskih podatkov o naravni in kulturni dediščini obravnavanega območja, vrednotenih komponent in opredeljene ranljivosti okolja. Izbrana je varianta, ki ima najmanjši vpliv na prvine okolja. Na koncu je z uporabo rastrskega modela določeno območje optimalnega koridorja in poteka trase.

Title:The use of GIS technology in road route variant selection : graduation thesis no.: 448/B-GR
Abstract:
Abstract The fast-paced and dynamic lifestyle of the modern world, continuous development, as well as facing various challenges, lead to increasing burden on infrastructure facilities. Designing new road infrastructure requires precise planning and optimization. The selection of a road route variant is crucial in the planning process. When choosing the optimal road variant, simplified spatial models are often used to compare various alternatives. This thesis presents the use of GIS technology to create a spatial model and select the optimal road route variant, including the possibility of determining the optimal corridor and optimal path. Initially, the assessment of environmental impacts is defined, along with the purpose, goals, and content of environmental protection in the road planning process. GIS, its utilization, and fundamental system, data, and model characteristics are also described. Subsequently, the user interface of ArcGIS Pro is introduced, along with its capabilities compared to those offered by ArcMap. It describes in detail the workflow with ArcGIS Pro and the use of the program's main functionalities in selecting the road route variant for both vector and raster data models. Using the example of the Kostanjevica na Krki area, the route variants of the already constructed Kostanjevica bypass road are analyzed. The variants are analyzed based on available vector data of the natural and cultural heritage of the studied area, assessed components, and identified environmental vulnerabilities. The selected variant has the least impact on environment. Finally, using a raster model, the area of the optimal corridor and route alignment is determined.
