In the thesis, we designed the layout of an outdoor area which provides students with additional space for socializing during breaks and increases the effectiveness of the break by providing more comfortable and ergonomic furniture. The outdoor furniture and related building will allow greater contact with nature and wood, as it is planned to place the structure around the tree in front of the University of Ljubljana's Department of Wood Science and Technology. The structure will be made of Siberian larch wood and the surface will be protected with an oil coating system. The foundation for the construction of the building will not interfere with nature and will stand on adjustable-support resting on concrete slabs to ensure greater stability. The construction will contain two large platforms, each with two deck chairs, next to which will be placed a table. One table will be freestanding, and the other will be located in the back of the bench storage area. The platforms will be connected by an intermediate bridge that will serve as a passageway, and a bench that will be used for sitting and lying down. Each bench will have a backrest at the outermost point, so that it is easier to rest on it.
