In the following text, we present our attempt to develop an object-tracking system based on the LoRa SX1280 module. The foundation of our system are four units: three transmitters and one receiver. With the knowledge of the distance between the receiver and the individual transmitters, as well as the transmitters' relative positions, we can discern the
receiver's position using trilateration. We describe the assembly of the units, the process
of installing an external antenna onto the LoRa modules and the workings of our system's code by components. Finally, we detail the results obtained from our system during two field tests. The first is a preliminary ranging test with two units, and the second is a full test of the
proposed system with trilateration.
